Greek Classics: Enduring Relevance for the Modern World

In this second panel discussion focusing on Greek Classics, we explored why everyone today, regardless of heritage, should care about the Ancient Greek culture. We examined the lessons to be learned from engaging directly with Ancient Greek classics, as well as the remarkable traditions in literature, philosophy, and politics that have defined our modern world and were themselves inspired by Homer, Plato, and Pericles. Our three distinguished panelists were: Andre Archie, Associate Professor of Philosophy, Colorado State University; Claire Catenaccio, Assistant Professor of Classics, Georgetown University; and Alex Petkas, host of the podcast "The Cost of Glory." The moderator was Joshua T. Katz, Senior Fellow at the American Enterprise Institute.
