In 1996, SPGH played an important role in the repatriation to Greece of a set of gold jewelry from the 15th century B.C., which had been stolen from a cemetery in Mycenea in the 1970s and displayed in a gallery in New York (read more about the Aidonia treasure.) For this effort, SPGH and Life President Anna Lea were awarded the Cross of the Order of the Phoenix from then-President of Greece Kostis Stephanopoulos.
